The Palanteological Museum:
To be found in the very center of the city of Torreon, Coahuila on Juárez Avenue, between the streets Leona Vicario and Ildefonso Fuentes. It exhibits muscles, arthropods, equinodermos, cordados. The museum has a vast and diversified collection of marine fossil pieces including amonites, clams, oysters, shark teeth, petrified teeth, belemites, baculites and trilobites. Animal fossil specimens, dinosaur and mammoth bones, tortoise shells, petrified wood, and vegetables and fruits that have been collected from the desert regions of Mexico. Pieces of anthropological material corresponding to the tribes of the region are also exhibited, such as: arrowheads, mortars and metates, baskets, deer horns and petroglifos.
